What is it about owls that's so compelling? I mean
let's face it, owls are really pretty creepy. Check out
the Transformer Owl on youtube if you don't believe
me. I love this owl pillow because it doesn't try to make owls look cute. This pillow is awesome in a creepy owl
sort of way. If you like owls and can appreciate
their weirdness then you will love this pillow.

Woke up this morning to this view from our balcony
and it looked like a good day to stay at home, drink
some Baileys & tea, have a snowball fight and snuggle
in bed... Sorry but the store will not be open today.
Hope this doesn't inconvenience anyone, if it did,
our sincere apologies... Happy Snow Day!!
(PS. I gotta admit, all this snow makes me feel
like singing Christmas carols "fa la la lala"...)

Renowned graphic artist Jason Munn,

music poster design. Collected here for
the first time are over 150 of his iconic
posters for various bands, including Beck,
Wilco, the Flaming Lips, the Pixies, and

The first impression of W. Reginald Bray (1879-1939) was one of an ordinary middle-class Englishman quietly living out his time as an accountant in the leafy suburb of Forest Hill, London. A glimpse behind his study door, however, revealed his extraordinary passion for sending unusual items through the mail. In 1898, Bray purchased a copy of the Post Office Guide, and began to study the regulations published quarterly by the British postal authorities. He discovered that the smallest item one could post was a bee, and the largest, an elephant. Intrigued, he decided to experiment with sending ordinary and strange objects through the post unwrapped, including a turnip, a bowler hat, a bicycle pump, shirt cuffs, seaweed, a clothes brush, even a rabbit's skull. He eventually posted his Irish terrier and himself (not together), earning him the name "The Human Letter." He also mailed cards to challenging addresses, some in the form of picture puzzles, others sent to ambiguous recipients at hard to reach destinations, all in the name of testing the deductive powers of the beleaguered postman. By the time he died in 1939, Bray had sent out more than thirty-two thousand postal curios. The Englishman Who Posted Himself and Other Curious Objects tells W. Reginald Bray's remarkable tale for the first time and includes delightful illustrations of some of his most amazing postal creations.

This book is loosely based on the game started by the
Surrealists in the 1920's called The Exquisite Corpse.
This version is played by 100 contemporary artists,
illustrators and designers. Each artist contributed one
page to the book, the first artist was given a few words
to inspire their drawing. Each of the following artists
was only allowed to see the page preceding their own
to create their continuation of the story, and the
inspiration for the next artist. Each artist also follows
the horizon line that begins on the left side of the page
and ends on the right, establishing a visual connection...
The book reads as 10 short visual stories, and it is exciting
to see each artist's interpretation. This astonishing book's
format is as unique as its content, with each of the ten
chapters residing on a ten page accordion pull-out,
allowing readers to view the art continuously.
Great idea and a great book!
